Bukovinian State Medical University is one of the largest universities in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. The school consists of a medical lyceum, Chernivtsi, Vashkivtsi and Novoselytsia medical colleges, three medical faculties, stomatological, pharmaceutical departments, department of postgraduate education, as well as a preparatory department for foreign students. Established in 1944, the institution is a well-respected center of higher education in the country. The research that the school has undertaken has led to significant results in the fields of cardiology, traumatology and orthopedics, gastroenterology, pediatrics, kidney physiology and pathology. The degrees granted at the school include bachelor’s, master’s, postgraduate, doctor-specialist, as well as graduate and continuous higher medical education junior specialist. The medical professions covered include Pediatrics, Medical Psychology, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Laboratory diagnostics.
