Electricity in Trinidad and Tobago is 115 V 60 Hz. Some people might need voltage converters for devices that are not compatible with these specifications. There are numerous converters available for this purpose and they also have different maximum Watt ratings depending on the user's needs. Examples of these are resistor-network converters, transformers, or a combination of the two types, among others. In Trinidad and Tobago, the generally accepted plug type is the flat blade plug. Main telephone lines in use are 252,000 while mobile telephone lines are 17 411. The major provider of this service is the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Limited, which is partly government owned. But nowadays, there are other telephone service providers like Digicel and Laqtel.

As of the moment, there are 17 Internet Service Providers in Trinidad and Tobago. The current number of users is 120,000 but is continuously growing significantly. Also, there are roughly about 680,000 radios in the area with three current broadcast stations: AM2, FM 10, and shortwave 0. On the other hand, there are 4 television broadcast stations and 425,00 televisions.

Regarding transportation, there used to be railways available specifically in San Fernando but the service was discontinued sometime in 1968. Currently, there are a total of 8,230 km highways, 4,252 km of which are paved and the remaining 4,068 are not. Being islands, there are six ports and harbors, the most popular of which is Port of Spain, the capital. Also, there are 6 airports in Trinidad and Tobago.
