Israel’s transportation is constantly being improved to meet the demands of the increasing population, the Israel Defense Forces and tourism in the country. Common public transportations in Israel are the following:

  • Bus - the most ordinary type of public transportation in the country. It is the cheapest and most dependable. The largest central bus terminal in Israel and in the world is the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station. The largest bus company in Israel is the Egged Bus Cooperative. It is also the second-largest bus association in the world.
  • Train - one of the finest transport systems in the country. It runs alongside the Mediterranean coast and link to Tel Aviv, Haifa, Beer-Sheva and Ben-Gurion Airport and Jerusalem. The train ticket or fares are usually high-priced compared to the buses.
  • Taxi - another ordinary public transport system in Israel. The drivers make use of meter to pass through inside and outside the metropolis.
