Transport system in the country is of the most sophisticated in the world with well-build up rail networks, bus systems, and modern airports. Some of the public transportations encountered in the country are buses taxis, trains and coaches.

The country has 471 airports and 11 heliports. Some noted airports are London Heathrow Airport, London Gatwick Airport, London Stansted Airport, Manchester Airport, Belfast International Airport, Birmingham International Airport, and Edinburgh Airport. The British Airways is the largest airline in the country. Other airlines that run long distance flights include Virgin Atlantic, Jet2, Flybe, and Thomson Airways.

Television, film and radio in the country have been at the front of improvement or expansion. The primary film production centers nowadays are at Shepperton and Pinewood Studios. Some of the television channels in the country are ITV, Channel 4, Five and BBC television. The country has a huge number of state and regional radio stations which contain a great range of programming. Some of the most popular stations include BBC Radio 1 (new music station), BBC Radio 2 (popular music), BBC Radio 4 (news, current affairs, comedy and drama), BBC Asian Network, BBC 1xtra and BBC 6 Music.

Other communication in the country include the Internet (about 25 million users in 2002 and Internet Service Providers ISPs are more than 400), telephones (main lines in use in 2002 are roughly 35 million) and mobile phones (around 50 million in 2002).
