You are here: Countries / Estonia

Like other countries, visitors are required to present their visa, including a valid passport. Visitors required to present their visa should have a passport valid three months after the period of intended stay.

Estonian government honors Schengen visa which allows nationalities from countries namely: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Sweden. A Schengen visa allows them multiple entries. Nationalities from the mentioned countries are given the opportunity to cross boarders and travel freely. They only need to present passport and personal ID cards.

For US citizens, a valid passport must be presented upon arrival. Visa is not required for a three-month or 90 days of stay given a six month period. Likewise, UK nationals must present their valid passport. However, if the guest is carrying a passport that has an endorsement for being a British Citizen, visa is no longer required. This goes the same to British Territories Citizen, British Subjects, British National (Overseas) and those who have the right to abode to UK. They are not required to present visa for 90-day stay in a six month period in Estonia. Other than these cases, a visa is already required. Canadians, Australians, Irish Nationals, and New Zealanders must have valid passport and a visa for intended stay.

There are two kinds of visa issued in Estonia, the single entry which gives up to 6 months of stay and the multiple entries type for up to 5 years of stay. Application for visa can be done at Consulate and it must be done in person.
