Visa application requirements for Dominican Republic

As of January 1, 2008, Nationals of the following countries that may enter Dominican Republic without visa are Andorra, Argentina, Aruba, Austria, Australia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belgium, Belize, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Curacao, Cyprus, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Dominica, Ecuador, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Grenada, Guyana, Holland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Jamaica, Japan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Namibia, Qatar, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Mauritian, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Suriname, Thailand, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, South Africa, United Arabs Emirates, United State, Uruguay and Vanuatu.

The following will be necessary in all cases: passport, application form, and fee (if payable by check, name and address of the applicant must be printed at the back of the check). The time needed to issue the tourist and business visas is within 6 to 8 weeks. The cost of Tourist visa for single- entry is £70; Business Visa for single-entry is £170 and £215 for multiple-entry. The validity of multiple-entry Business Visa is until 1 year while a single-entry Business and Tourist Visa is 60 days.

Requirements for Tourism/Business visas are application letter addressed to the Minister of Foreign Relations and signed by the applicant (if the person is already in the country); request letter issued by a company or by an individual indicating the name, location of residence, nationality, financial condition and the applicant’s profession and main activity; relationship of the person whose in-charge for the applicant throughout his/her visit in the country; passport; 2 x 2 photographs; and Form 509-Ref (typed or printed) with Internal Revenue Service stamp (this is not required if your holding free visas like nationals of the Italy, Norway, Mexico, Panama, Spain and United States).
