The Government and Political System in Albania

The government in Albania is a parliamentary republic. The president of the popular assembly is Alfred Moisiu. The prime minister and head of government is Sali Berisha. The assembly is formed by 140 elected officials who are elected every 4 years.

Independance day is celebrated on the 28th of November to celebrate independance from the Ottomans in 1912.
