The educational mission of Schiller International University is to prepare students, personally and professionally, for future leadership roles in an international setting. In its undergraduate and graduate degree programs, Schiller provides students with the competencies they need for professional careers as well as for further academic study. The educational process puts particular emphasis on developing international and cross-cultural competencies through foreign language training, intercampus transfer, or other international academic opportunities, and intense interaction among people with diverse backgrounds. We offer US accredited undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and International Relations and Diplomacy. We also offer an MBA program. All programs are taught in English and entry to the university takes place all year round.

Study Program Details
International Business
The associate of science degree in international business is designed to prepare students for success in today’s competitive marketplace. Courses include English, science, mathematics, foreign languages, English and business administration as well as applications of economics and the psychology of marketing. Graduates will be able to analyze how finances, trade and relations affect decisions, adapt strategies and construct management processes, apply ethical codes of conduct, learn computer skills for international business and learn how to communicate effectively for negotiations and persuasion, all in the international environment.

International Business
The Bachelor of Science in International Business degree program is designed to provide each students the skills and specialization needed to succeed as an international business executive. Students learn about the social, economical, and political conditions of different countries. Graduates will have learned how to use business techniques to resolve international business challenges, assess global factors to develop market and business strategies to compete in the international market and analyze issues facing countries and businesses around the globe.

International Economics
The major in International Economic is the study of economic theory and policy with an emphasis on the impact and role of international economic relations. All levels of economics are taken into study including individual, firm, national and international. Courses include: Economic Geography, Economy of Developing Countries, International Economic Policies & Institutions, Modern Diplomacy, Statistics, The Political Economy of North-South Relations and Business Administration. Graduates can go on to work as economic or political analysts in the world of finance, government or business.

International Hospitality and Tourism
The Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality and Tourism Management program requires the same courses as our associate program for the first 2 years. This program requires further study as well as internship opportunities to observe and practice in hotels, resorts, restaurants, conventions, tourism offices and the chamber of commerce. (Internship takes place in Tampa). Graduates in International Hospitality and Tourism Management will gain knowledge and experience in a multicultural environment, learn about hotel operations, acquire critical thinking and decision making abilities and learn industry trends and best practices.

International Hospitality and Tourism Management
The Associate of Science in International Hospitality and Tourism Management is a degree designed for adventurous individuals interested in interacting with and understanding the needs of travelers to provide them a fulfilling experience. Hospitality and Tourism Management students take both general education courses and specific hospitality and tourism management courses and also have the opportunity to take part in an internship to get valuable on the job training. Classes cover language instruction, experience in food service, kitchen operations and front desk management. Upon graduation students will have developed strong interpersonal skills in dealing with guests, be proficient in computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheets, internet research, web design and reservation systems and have a strong understanding of cultural factors of tourism.

International Hospitality and Tourism Management MBA
The International Hospitality and Tourism Management MBA Program prepares graduates to develop a strategic plan to build or run a hospitality operation, interpret and analyze global issues facing the hospitality industry, acquire a sensitivity and awareness to global opportunities and sustainability, interpret the impact of hospitality operations on the environment and have a global understanding of the hospitality enterprise within the broader tourism context.

International Relations and Diplomacy
The International Relations and Diplomacy program prepares students with the skills needed to pursue work with international organizations in government, law or business. Students will acquire a solid foundation in economics, history and political science. In the last year of the program students go to on-visits, debates and case studies. Graduates will be able to apply analytical thinking to matters related to international relations and diplomacy, analyze issues and processes in international organizations, dominate international relations key concepts and have a deep understanding of global diversity.

International Relations and Diplomacy
The International Relations and Diplomacy Masters program will give students an in-depth understanding of international affairs and diplomacy and prepare them for work in government, journalism or business. Master in International Management MIM
The Master of International Management is to prepare students for a managerial position in international management, regardless of undergraduate studies. Courses include marketing, management, business administration, accounting, economics, communications and business law. Graduates will demonstrate a strong foundation in global and international business, have a strong understanding of global businesses complexities and be able to identify and use tools for solving problems in global business.

Master of Business Administration
The Master in Business Administration (MBA) studies the directional areas of accounting, marketing, finance and management. Students are given case studies to prepare them for managerial positions in large companies as well as small businesses. As an MBA graduate students will have acquired a multicultural perspective in business, the ability to drive innovation, a sense of high ethical standards, critical thinking and decision making skills, management and leadership skills as well as advanced knowledge of information technology.

MBA in International Business
The Master of Business Administration focuses on the following areas: International Marketing, Marketing Psychology, Management, Finance, Economics, Linguistic, Social, Economic and Political Conditions. MBA in Management of Information Technology
The Management of Information Technology focuses on communications networks, project management, database management, information system management, design and systems analysis. Graduates can have careers in international corporate management, positions related to online commerce, system integration, computer security and digital business strategy. Graduates will be able to lead technical teams to reach set goals, effectively apply technology to solve business problems, leverage technology to complete set goal and be persuasive writers and communicators in the field of business.

Admission Requirements

  • A completed and signed Application.
  • A non-refundable application fee of U.S. $20 for students seeking admission to the Florida or Online campus or EUR €50 for students seeking admission to a European campus.
  • A completed and signed Enrollment Agreement Students with more than 24 college credits must sign a High School attestation in lieu of proof of HS graduation.
  • Students with less than 24 college credits: High School Diploma, or Official High School transcript indicating date of graduation, or official GED transcript for U.S. citizen/legal resident students or; Proof of completion of secondary education for students educated outside of the United States or the American educational system. Examples may include the Abitur, Selectividad, Baccalauréat, International Baccalaureate (IB) “O” and “A”-level exam results.
  • Copy of official ID or passport (Visa Students).

Fees

Undergraduate tuition per credit/course is € 459/€1,377. Graduate tuition € 574/€1,722. Application fee is €50.

Program Duration

All Associate degrees require the completion of 60 semester credit hours and usually take two years of full-time study to earn. Bachelors degrees require 120 semester credit hours and 3 to 4 years to complete. Depending on the field of study Masters degrees require between 36 and 45 semester credits. MBA's can be finished in 15 months.

Dates and Deadlines

Registration deadlines and start dates are available every month. Spring Break is April 10-14, Summer Break is July 3-7 and Winter Break is Dec 25-January 5.
