About the Pontifical University of Comillas

The Pontifical University of Comillas is a private Catholic institution of higher learning, offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of subject areas, as well as specialized courses for professionals in need of continuing education.

Since its founding, nearly a century ago, the Pontifical University of Comillas has continued to meet the needs of its student body and has always adapted to the massive changes in education that have taken place over that period. Once reserved for the elite and wealthy classes, university education in the region has now become a universal social mission, and the Pontifical University of Comillas has continued to be at the forefront in terms of keeping that mission alive.

The Institute of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education

The Pontifical University of Comillas’ Institute of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education is responsible for providing all of the university’s programs leading to upper division degrees and specialist certifications. With the implementation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) in the late 1990s, university graduate studies are now configured in two divisions: Official Postgraduate Studies, which include master's degrees and PhD programs; and Individual Graduate Studies, which include specialist programs and advanced courses.

The Institute of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education offers graduate and post-graduate programs in seven general study areas:  Education; Business; Society and the Humanities; Legal; Health Sciences, Engineering; and Theology and Canon Law.  Below we have listed just a small sampling of the various degree options that are currently available in each of these seven disciplines.
