Headquartered in the capital city of Madrid, the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles, or IEB, is currently Spain’s leading official center in the field of financial education and training. The institute, which is affiliated with Madrid’s Complutense University, is sponsored by the Madrid Stock Exchange.

The main goal of the IEB is to provide high quality financial education programs with a practical approach. The institute accomplishes this aim via its excellent team of faculty and lecturers who consistently employ a relative study methodology that is both interesting and fresh. Also adding to the quality of education at the IEB are the small class sizes, ensuring students get plenty of one-on-one attention from instructors.

Most of the student body at the IEB is made up of individuals with a strong academic record who performed well on the institute’s admission tests. The school’s tough enrollment standards help to guarantee the quality of its academic study programs, allowing each student to reach his or her full potential with the ongoing support of demanding professors and the center’s quality administration team.

In addition to being an educational center for future financial leaders, the IEB is also the leader in in-company financial training for small and large businesses throughout the region. Among the institute’s many clients are the main Spanish and Ibero-American financial institutions, including a number of banks, saving institutions, pension fund managers, and stockbroker firms. The IEB additionally provides technical training courses for a number of official and supervisory organizations in the financial field.

Since its inauguration in 1989, the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles has served over 20,000 students, many of whom now hold renowned positions in the national and international financial sectors.

Programs Offered at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles

The IEB is a one-stop financial education institution offering a number of different programs at a variety of educational levels. These include:

The IEB Double Degree

The popular IEB Double Degree is a program in which students can earn two advanced degrees simultaneously: an official law degree (from the Complutense University of Madrid), and a Master’s Degree in Stock Markets and Financial Markets.
The Law Degree is obtained through personalized and small-group teaching by a select faculty, while the Master’s Degree portion covers subjects dealing with financial economics spread over the four year period of a student’s legal education.
The IEB believes that the Law Degree will be of a great benefit for students studying finance since the legal instruments that are such an integral part of trade traffic are the very vehicle of financial products.
