Emmanuel College (EC) is a Roman Catholic liberal arts college, based in Boston, Massachusetts. The institution was formed in 1919, as a women's college by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. It became coeducational in 2001 and is a member of the Colleges of the Fenway consortium. Emmanuel has made available over 40 majors, minors and concentrations in the liberal arts and sciences at the undergraduate level. What is specific about the institution that the strict classroom instruction is combined with experiential learning opportunities, such as cooperative education, student research, service learning, and global experience. The Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees require the successful completion of a minimum of 128 credits. Internships are an integral part of the curriculum at the college, too.
