Centro de Estudios Financieros (Center for Financial Studies) was founded in 1977 and it is a business learning institution situated in Madrid. The main aim of the institution is to improve the professional qualifications of its students and to prepare them for the job market. To achieve this, the institution helps prepare its students for competitive exams so as to enable them get access to public offices, and also helps them complete their work profiles. CEF also issues students with technical publications on subjects such as taxation, accounting, and law. Most of these publications are prepared by the school’s publishing house which facilitates the institution with all the resources needed to conduct learning. Some of the materials include legal databases, specialized magazines, books, informative manuals and so on.

CEF offers a number of courses such as human resources, sales and marketing, taxation, purchasing and logistics, accounting and finance, business consulting, and information technology among others. These courses are designed around a number of teaching formats such as monographs, superior courses, seminars, specialization courses, and masters and postgraduate courses. There are a number of teaching modalities to choose from. These include distance learning, on-line, face-to-face, and semi-face-to-face. The school also uses an outdoor training methodology so as to develop managerial skills. Through this methodology, the institution gets to work with a number of public institutions and corporations thus equipping its students with the skills needed to be competitive and effective in the job market.
