Apache Junction High School is a high school in Apache Junction. The school receives about 5,000 students, serving an area that includes the City of Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, Peralta Trail Queen Valley and the unincorporated areas of the Superstition Mountain foothills. The school is established in 1952 to currently offer a great variety of educational programs. The institution is also known for its innovative approach to teaching methodology. It follows the mission to help students develop in an envrionment that helps them thrive academically, emotionally and physically. Great emphasiz is put on low teacher/student ratios and individualized instruction. Finally, AJUSD’s technology model has been acknowledged as one of the best in the country. This ‘21st Century Classroom’ approach integrates technology into the curriculum, management and instruction process.
