The secondary system of the Republic of Macedonia is composed of many categories- vocational education, art high school education, classical high school education, and high school education for disabled students.

There are also numerous universities in Macedonia that offer four year programs. Just like other universities in other countries, students are given a diploma after completing a four-year course. These diplomas are awarded to students completing their graduate degrees with professional title of lawyer, engineer, teacher, etc. at lower lever, and graduate lawyer, graduate engineer, graduate teacher, etc. at higher level.

The Secondary schools offer courses studying foreign languages. The courses offered are in the following foreign languages; English, German, French, Russian, and Italian.
