Visa application requirements for Jordan

The Jordan requirement requires most nationalities to get their visa before entering the country. If a person arrives by air, visas can be issued in the airport. Jordan visa is valid for one month starting the day it was issued. It costs JD10 or 10 Jordan Dinars and yes, visas are payable in Dinars only. For those seeking for extensions, they can extend their stay for three months and extended visas can be issued in police stations. Like any other countries, people arriving in Jordan should present their valid passport and the validity should be six months after the date of arrival in the country. Tickets and other supporting documents should also be presented in every travel.

For Americans visiting Jordan, passport and visa are both required and this goes the same to UK nationals. Canadians, South Africans, Australians, New Zealanders, and Irish nationals all require passport and visa as well.

In connection with visiting conditions and requirements, tourists and travelers should be informed that the government of Jordan also implements certain precautionary measures and safety steps for arriving visitors to ensure everybody's protection. For instance, inoculations are not required but if a visitor comes from infected country, certificate should be presented. For travelers who are suffering from any disease, they can bring with them prescribed medicines and medical insurance. In fact, the Jordan government supports any measurements that lessen or eliminate traveling risks.
