Jordan five decades ago started to pave the way to establishment of wireless stations that let the Kingdom connect to every citizen of the country and the outer world. From such basic pillars, stronger and more efficient means of communications were utilized as a sign of consistent development. Today, the communications system of the country is composed of telephone system, radio broadcast stations, television broadcast stations, and Internet service providers and the coverage say for instance in mobile telephone is particularly good.

Media communications providers manage to deliver fast and efficient services since they employ sophisticated equipment and facilities. Both the rural and urban areas of the country have access to these forms of communications. The government of Jordan specifically appoints ministry officials to supervise the developments of the country's communication system.

In any country, the transportation system is embodied as the life vein and the infrastructures built are the measurement of the country's progress. The transportation system of Jordan includes railways, highways, pipelines, merchant marine, airports (with unpaved and paved runways), and heliports. Though in general Jordan's transportation facilities are still underdeveloped, improvements are constantly made as efficient transportation systems provide the Kingdom the main opening gates to accept trade and further enrich its budding industries.

In 2001, Jordan has 18 airports where 15 of which were paved. Queen Alia International Airport remains the major airport while the Aqaba Airport is another international airport. The government is also operating the Alia-Royal Jordanian Airline which runs domestic and international flights.
