The country may be small in size, but, you will definitely be captivated by the big attractions Brunei Darussalam offers to its visitors like grand mosques, river journeys and virgin rainforests which cover about 70% of its territory.

Inside its capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan, in the Brunei-Muara district, you can find the picturesque Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque regarded as an oasis of tranquillity at the heart of its busy capital.  The world’s largest residential palace, the Istana Nurul Iman, is the most impressive and captivating site in all of Brunei.  The capital also has a sprawling water village.  Dubbed as the ‘Venice of the East,’ Kampung Ayer is home to about 30,000 inhabitants.

The Royal Regalia Building is where you can find a collection of Royal Bruneian artifacts.  The Brunei History Centre displays the genealogy of the Royal Family.  Traditional royal ceremonies are held in a room called Lapau.  Tasek Lama Recreational Park is a rainforest with a natural garden, lake and waterfall. 

Jerudong Park Playground is an adventure theme park for everyone free of charge.  Walkways are paved and there is a locomotive network that links the traditional amusements like carousels and bump cars into the futuristic simulators and the awesome Giant Drop.

Brunei’s largest and most magnificent mosque is the Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque in Gadong area.  They have the Malay Technology Museum which provides insights into ancient Bruneian tools.  Ideal family outdoor destinations are the Muara Area Beaches and the Berakas Forestry Recreation Park.

The peaceful ambience surrounding Brunei’s largest lake is widely appreciated by birdwatchers, nature lovers and botanists.  One can truly appreciate Brunei’s natural beauty coexisting with its modern contemporary side.
