Education system in the country covers all parts of primary and higher education. The major role of Bermuda’s Ministry of Education and Development is to expand the area of primary and secondary education along with the common individuals of the Bermudian region. Education in the country is mandatory for all children ages between 5 to 16 years.

All public schools in the country offer high quality education at a reasonable cost. Professors in the government school are well trained and capable in handling their students. The public education system consists of preschools, primary and middle schools. The Senior Schools are intended for those who want to take up higher study. There are also numerous private institutions in the country. All private schools in country are independent. The educational expenses in private schools are higher compare to government or public schools. The value of education in the private schools is equal with world-class standards. Proper school uniforms are compulsory for primary and secondary level in all private and public schools.

Bermuda College was formed in 1974 and located in Paget Parish. It is a community college and the only post-secondary learning institution in the country. The College offers an academic class, professional and technical courses. Degrees and certificates awarded are Certificate or Diploma credentials and Associate Degree. In 2004, the college has 517 student applicants for college; there are 52 full-time professors and 70 additional lecturers.
